Dutjahn Sandalwood Oils was the first ever Australian organization to receive the prestigious United Nations Equator Prize.

The Equator Prize recognises local community and indigenous peoples’ innovative, nature-based solutions for tackling climate change, environment, and poverty challenges.

UNDP Administrator, Achim Steiner stated, “Every day, thousands of local communities and indigenous peoples around the world are quietly implementing innovative nature-based solutions to mitigate and adapt to climate change.  The Equator Prize is both a recognition of their exceptional ideas and a way to showcase the power of people and grassroots communities to bring about real change.”

Clinton Farmer & Katina Law proudly represented Dutjahn Sandalwood Oils at the Equator Prize 2019 Award Ceremony in New York, USA, as part of the Equator Initiative and UN Climate Action Summit. Dutjahn was praised as a leader in nature-based sustainable development, addressing a number of UN Sustainable Development Goals including #1 No Poverty and #13 Climate Action.
